Without further ado, let’s get right into why we are here.
There are two categories of packaging materials: external & internal packages.
External Packaging
They refer to items such as boxes or flyers, and serve as a shield for shipped items, protecting them against potential loss or damage during transit.
External packaging materials include:
- Bubble mailers are used for shipping small, fragile items like cosmetics and jewelry
- Poly mailers/flyers are used for sending small, non-fragile items
- Boxes are used for sending bulky, delicate, and food items
Internal packages
They refer to the materials placed inside your shipment to protect and secure your items throughout the shipping process.
Internal packaging materials include:
- Packaging peanuts are used to fill up space in a box & prevent your items from moving around
- Bubble wraps are used for protecting fragile items when shipping
- Shredded Papers are used to protect fragile items when shipping
- Vacuum seals are used for packaging food items to ensure it is airtight & avoid contamination
